[idk I just picked a day THE POINT IS.

Nino is definitely dragging Jaffar out because Jaffar deserves more friends, and because there's someone in particular she wants to check on?

(She missed the cannibalism memo.)

So when she finally spies Serph, she points him out to Jaffar brightly, and then is dragging him right on over.]

Serph! Did you end up looking around the island? Did you see anything new?

[ Serph...well, he doesn't quite smile, but there's definitely a warm almost-a-smile in the way he turns to face Nino when he hears her. It's hard not to be positive at someone that cute, right? ]

I haven't pressed too far into the jungle yet.

[ Because he's thinking about this a little more carefully than the last time they talked, so backup. And preparation. And carefulness. All that important stuff. ]

[ man your boyfriend has killed like 1000 people, you can be friends with a cannibal if you want at this point. WHO CARES.

Jaffar sure doesn't. He saw the cannibalism bit, and he recognizes the man immediately upon seeing him, but he doesn't care as long as he doesn't decide to try making a snack out of Nino. ]

Serph and I are going to explore the island and find some nice places sometime--he hasn't seen very many plants or animals or things like this, so I figured the more the better!

[Seems legit.]

[ Not everyone is into veal, Nino is safe while he's in his right mind.

A nod, to what she's saying - yep, it's all new and it's all fascinating. ]

[ he doesn't mind!! it's weird to hear that he hasn't "seen very many plants or animals," though. What could that possibly mean?

If he was more talkative, he'd ask. But he's not, so he just looks at Serph as he moves to Nino's side. ]

Instead she's taking her new friend and her boyfriend on a field trip.

So she'll just...start walking on down the beach.]

I wonder how far this island goes... it doesn't seem very big, does it?

It doesn't. It could be traversed within a day, I believe.
