week one ❧ wednesday
[There's someone in particular she has to thank for a few things, Nino thinks--so she fetches some of the freshwater from the spring in half of a coconut shell (thanks, Lucina) and very, very cautiously brings it to Kirigiri's door as an offering.
Fair's fair, right! She owes her a lot, after all.
And so, when she has it balanced properly in one hand, she lifts a hand to knock.
Knock knock!]

...Thank you, Nino. This is very kind of you. I've finished those memory cards if you'd like to come inside.
[ to presumably the neatest fucking hut in game. ]
no subject
But Nino just tilts her head, properly awed by that.]
You've already finished them...? Really? That's so fast!
[How is Kyouko real, the life and times.
And this hut is definitely neater than the one she's bumming in with Jaffar and Jack.]

[ SO SHE HAD SPARE TIME...but she goes towards where she sleeps and pulls out the cards, neatly made using paper and pencil from the longhouse. ]
no subject
Oh... these are the cards? So we can just play a memory game with them?
no subject
[ she lays them all out face down on the floor, going to sit. ]
Each card has a match. So, we can take turns flipping the cards, and see who can match the pairs...
no subject
[She looks thoughtful for a moment, and then nods, sitting as well.]
The rules seem easy to remember. Let's give it a try!
no subject
[ SHE WILL START THE GAME which we can handwave as they talk ? ]
no subject
Okay!
Um... thanks again for setting this up for me, Miss Kirigiri. These are really nice cards, too! Did you draw them all yourself?
no subject
[ some are cute, but. most are geometic and as different as she could make them...but...she's not sure what young girls like so... ]
no subject
[Of course she does. She likes the cute ones, but... she lifts one of the geometric ones that she flipped, showing it to Kirigiri.]
Ones like these kind of remind me of my spell tomes!
no subject
[ not gonna say "IMPOSSIBLE" because. gestures around. ]
no subject
[Which lessens her from NINO, DESTROYER OF WORLDS to Nino, soon to be a cyclops.]

[Nino loves magic, so she is happy to talk about this forever...]
That's like...fire, and wind, and thunder magic! It's more like--um, natural magic, I guess?
no subject
[ if anima is one type...
MAKES YOU EXPLAIN FE MAGIC TO ME ]
no subject
Oh--! There's dark magic, and light magic!
[Seems...pretty straightforward.]
I can't use either of those though. Light magic is more like...power from believing in St. Elimine, I think...? Something like that. I don't know much about dark magic at all, though.

[Sorry, Kyouko.]
Though I guess people who can use healing magic usually can use light magic too... they're two different kinds of magic, though!
no subject
no subject
Not exactly an opposite... it's more like--people who study anima magic for a long time can usually pick up healing magic. And healers can usually pick up light magic! Or sometimes anima magic too.
But dark magic is really just...learned by shamans and druids, I think! Though Canas could heal too...
no subject
I see...it sounds like it's incredibly useful, then. My own world doesn't have magic, really.
no subject
None? No magic at all...?
[That sounds too!! Depressing!! For her to contemplate.]
no subject
no subject
[It is a mystery.]
But...how do you do things without magic? [???]
no subject

[Technology in feland never gets far, maybe this is why.]

Your world sounds so much stranger than mine.
[And hers is the one with dragons.]
I wish I could see it!
